MY MOBILE APP: FOODSNAP

1. Establishing Page

Sign up and create a new account for Foodsnap or log in using your existing account. You can also sign up by using your Facebook account or Gmail.

2. iCompass

The diamond shaped, white and turquoise coloured icon is navigation system for the app, This is also the logo for Foodsnap representing a hunters sharp eye in the middle. This will be available on every page you go. You can put wherever you want it on your phone screen. Once tapped, the button will then reveal a menu to navigate around the app. Tapping each icon will lead you to the respective pages it is labelled. Settings will lead you to the settings of the app like notification settings and account info. Foodie update will lead you to the “post” screen.

3. Hungry?

Discover varieties of local food and also around the world. The buttons Western, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Malay, Dessert and Cafe. Tapping one of this will lead to what users around the world posted on the category and lead to numerous restaurant that advertised their food through the app.

4. Snap & Search

Simply take a photo of your food or upload from your album and choose an existing image. After that, the food result will pop out showing the exact same food or similar food for you to choose from. By tapping on selections of result you can see the full address, contact number and operation hours. The GO NOW feature will open up the location in any installed navigation app installed in your phone e.g.; Waze, Google Maps.

5. Foodie Hunt

No photos? No worries! We have other user generated content for you on the “Foodie hunt” page labelled with a treasure map. Here you can see a feed for people you follow and other posts and photos from from other users. This will create an opportunity for you to find out about new food in town from your buddies and other foodie hunters and also to see what people post about their own cooking. The Share button on the right will share that post on your Foodie-Log.

6. Foodie-Log

It’s your very own “log book” where this acts as a profile for you.

Here you can see your posts and the food that you have searched before. You can also post your own status or photo by tapping the foodie update in the “iCompass". Food hunters are people you are following and Food buddies are people who you follow and they have followed you back (Following each other). By tapping that you can see who are the users in the Food Hunters and Food Buddies. The avatar icon at the top middle is a button where you can personalise and change to your own profile picture. You can edit your name and profile info by going to settings.
